The research carried out by Marcus et al. (2005) aimed to highlight the significance of Meta-leadership in responding to national emergencies by formulating strategies that build government connectivity. I agree with the claims and reasoning provided by the authors in this research paper. According to my standpoint, it has become essential to embrace change in relation to emergency preparedness so that the governments can ensure unprecedented coordination of resources and expertise while responding to new hazards. Meta-leadership is the most appropriate approach to achieve quick and effective national preparedness. It facilitates eliminating the rivalries among the organizations that share similar scope and mission as claimed by Marcus et al. (2005). I agree with the authors' claim as, from my point of view, the essence of Meta-leadership is that it encourages different organizations to work jointly towards the common goal.
