Diversity can be defined as an occurrence of more than one person of different ethnicity, language, national, economic, and organizational culture coming together (Queensborough Community College., n.d.). Acceptance and respect are part of the diversity concept. Acceptance involves acknowledging that each person is unique and respecting their differences in the workplace, educational institutions, or any other setting where we interact with people of various backgrounds. As a result, we will discuss the term diversity in a variety of ways in this study. It contributed to my present career and field of study by basing my argument on some of the possible repercussions both positive and negative.
