The topic of the Ted Talk is “Actionable solutions to support the mental health of US veterans.” The argument presented by the speaker is that necessary measures should be implemented to ensure that the current issues about suicide present in the veteran community should be addressed by improving the processes and strategies that have been implemented to support and help the veterans. The purpose of the talk is to inform the audience about the number of veterans who have committed suicide for the last twenty years, the talk also evaluates the weaknesses in the current systems that should be changed to offer better support to the veterans and gives recommendations that can be implemented to improve the services provided by the Department of Veteran Affairs.

The target audience, in this case, is people who are involved in dealing with issues related to mental health and the insights acquired from the talk are essential because they would help in understanding the situation of mental health problems among the veterans.
