Conscious leadership is an essential component in the development and maintenance of a successful business. In its significant practice, conscious leadership is the ability to bring a leader's entire self into a leadership position (Ward, 2016). Alternatively, Whittington (2018) defines conscious leadership as the capacity of a leader to bring the best identity, contemplate, and act thoughtfully, with diligent intent for the greater good, in moments that matter most. Besides, it assumes comprehensive self-awareness and the validity to one's personality. Nevertheless, conscious leaders not only focus on themselves but also to the entire organization as a whole.
Commonly, conscious leaders decide first, embrace uncertainty, are encouraged to challenge the worldview, combine emotions and reason and make an informed decision as well as focusing on the far horizon (Anderson & Anderson, 2010). Moreover, the leaders need to act as stewards for peace and as well possess intentional focus. The vision of a conscious leader extends beyond the primary roles and responsibilities for the day. They automatically create a consistent and robust culture of trust within an organization, which has a broad impact on the morale and productivity of the workforce (Marinčič & Marič, 2018). The high degree of consciousness and self-awareness, although not typical, is achievable through continuous practice.

Such leaders view an organization from a comprehensive perspective as well as nurturing and safeguarding business for future generations. Besides, conscious leaders precisely comprehend the direction where the company is heading, their role in the achievement of goals and objectives, plan to utilize to care and motivate the team to realize effectiveness and efficiency in the organization. Such leaders understand the importance of treating the workforce equally as well as the creation of an inclusive working culture, which encourages every employee’s participation. Conscious leaders stand for all that is good in people and use such information to guide self-thoughts and actions (Marinčič & Marič, 2018). Unlike autocratic leadership, where the leaders take the overall decision making and little input from members, conscious leadership upholds and respects the ideas of every team player.
