What type of parent or teacher would you want to be?
How would you best communicate?
How would you discipline?

Parenting
Parenting is one of the most challenging paths in life. Raising a happy and healthy kid is demanding, and parents look for various ways in which to do so. The parenting process involves several techniques entangled so as to come with refined care from the parent. Frequent interaction with the kid makes it develop a bond towards the parents, which has a strong influence on the kid's overall behavioral characters. The parents have to intellectually study their children's behavior to determine any bad behaviors that may put the child to various risks. During growth, the child imitates most of the characters he sees from his seniors. Not all parents have the same parental styles; some are authoritarian, authoritative, while others are permissive parents.
Authoritarian style is one of the most critical styles believed to have a long-lasting effect on the child's character. To add on, this kind of parenting style has a huge impact on the el-esteem of the child. Parenthood is a TV show which has shown almost all parenting styles. From the show, authoritarian parenting is clearly indicated by Zeke Braverman, who has very high expectations of high kids, but none of them takes him seriously. Zeke puts on strict rules so that the kids can follow without any deviance. His authoritarian parenting has very good expectations from the kids, but they fail due to the kids thinking their father is more of a dictator (Krupić, Ručević & Vučković, 2020). This differs a little bit with authoritative parenting, which sets high demands for their kids. Despite the parents being too demanding, they are responsible for their kid's physical activities and emotional care. The parents try to give all the attention to the kids, but there are clear boundaries, limits, and expectations, as indicated by Julia Braverman as she natures her kids. From this type of parenting. The kids feel loved and cared for, which makes them work hard to also please their parents. Julia expresses her love for the kids, despite her marriage crumbling. The same is replicated by Kristina Braverman, who became authoritative parents when they grew up. Permissive parenting is another style that appears in the parenthood TV show. This is a modern parenting style that deviates from the traditional parenting in which the parents have the full control of their children (Krupić, Ručević & Vučković, 2020). In this type of parenting, the kids are given more freedom to make their own choices and decisions. There are also fewer rules and punishments involved in this type of parenting. Crosby and Sara in the parenthood TV show struggle with the permissive parenting style as they raise their son. They freely allow him to make her own decisions, and they politely correct where necessary. All these styles are good, but they work best when kids are also comfortable with a particular style.
Reflective listening plays a central role in good parenting. For a kid to feel cared for, the parent should pay keen attention to what the kid is talking about and try to engage in a long conversation as much as possible. This should not only involve virtual listening but involved reflection techniques that the kid finds more interest...
