A systematic review is a method of evaluating evidence whereby, its target is to answer a defined research question. Therefore, before deciding on using this method, it is important for the researcher to develop a good research question because it determines the quality of the research. Having a poorly written research question would make it difficult to use the systematic review. On the other hand, the meta-analysis method does not necessarily require a defined research question. It involves the use of various statistical methods to come up with a summary of the studies involved in the research.
