Introduction
Knowing one’s inherent personality is essential in order to understand oneself much better. This kind of self-reflection allows a person to identify his strengths, assess his weaknesses, and perhaps, orient his goals towards what he is inherently good at. However, this means that a person must first be able to find an efficient way of characterizing his own personality traits objectively. In line with this, we conducted a Humanmetrics Jung Typology Test in order to determine our inherent characteristics. This test allows to provide a peek to the person’s innate qualities by categorizing his inclinations in four (4) different traits, namely; (1) Introversion vs. Extroversion, (2) Intuition vs. Sensing, (3) Feeling vs. Thinking, and (4) Perceiving over judging. Since we have already conducted a test about our own personalities (result = INTJ), this paper would focus on a reflection of my personality, relative to my own experiences and goals in life.
Future Plans
Ever since I was a kid, I have always dreamt of starting my own company someday. I always admired those CEOs who have not only led their businesses to its success but even built it from scratch. CEOs like Jack Ma, Elon Musk, and Jeff Bezos, who have been at the forefront of the business world. Specifically, I have wanted to become an entrepreneur whose company focuses on electronics and media. These companies are not only booming, and in great demands these days, tech companies are also some of the companies that puts great importance on innovation and well-being of an individual. Upon graduating from college, I would like to gain experience first by working at some of these companies. I want to establish my career little by a little while also saving the money needed to at least start my own business. As my business grows and I become more successful in this field, I would then like to impart my personal knowledge to other people and encourage them always to give their best while also shooting for the moon.
Strengths and Weaknesses
Despite my determination to pursue my dreams, I also realized that it would not be an easy job to do especially when considering my own personality. Based on my Myers Briggs test, it seems that I have a slight preference over introversion as compared to extraversion. While introversion is not necessarily inferior to extraversion, some studies that I have read states that most of the people that I admire was extroverted for the most part (Chierotti, 2017). It is their outgoing personality that builds charisma and attracts people towards them, which makes them good leaders in the first place. However, I also realized that despite this fact, introverts like me could even have our own strengths when it comes to leadership and business skills.
