It is essential to comprehend the purpose of both comparison and contrast is to explicate and explain. Ordinarily, the aim of the writer would be to inform the readers about the similarities and differences which are necessary to them. Also, a writer may justify and describe something strange and unknown by comparing it with something familiar with the reader. An analogy is a unique form of comparison which involves unobservable or complicated subjects.
