Description of the website the website
While the website scored highly in various sections there is a need to improve the user experience and accessibility The user experience (UX ) is a quality attribute that measures the ease of use of web interfaces, and there were issues with the with titles and some sections, subheadings. There were other issues identified with the form control functionalities, website languages, labeled images and use of layout tables as data holders (eBay, 2018). The website scored poorly on the home page organization, selling and item purchase processes. The poor score for language eBay is a multinational company with multiple subdomains and local domain codes, and this partly explains why the company scored poorly for language
Exigence for the re-design
I seek to re-design to enhance user experience and improve the sales process. To improve the UX, it is important for users to understand how they navigate through the website to get them to do what they need. The search and purchase process is straightforward compared selling. There are no concerns about the loading speed of the website, but the site should be more dynamic for the users. The products are described well, including the functionalities of our product and whether there are similar products the differences are highlighted for the uses to make more accurate assessment and to meet their expectations. (Kim & Peterson, 2017). Listening to the users provides insights on where to improve the site, design and integrated the changes based on user experience.
Current context for the re-design
In redesigning the site the aim was to create vibrant site serving a diverse base, who buy and sell various products. The id must be unique, but this was not the case and this requires update elements with the code attributes for each attribute value to be unique. The redesigning process is meant to address the weaknesses and the users will rely more on the site when there is improved customer satisfaction (Sun, et al., 2015).
