A Problem You'd Like To Solve: An Intellectual Challenge

I was a loser who never put efforts in studying, working or and playing. I always thought about what would happen if I fail. In order to prevent losing, I always chose not to try so that I could have an excuse for my losing instead of letting others laugh at my failure. I never tried my best in my elementary school to my secondary school. In every exam that I undertook I emerged as an average student in our class. I tried my best to improve on my grades but with very little success.
Later I joined EF Academy and started my high school. However, I still could not improve on my grades. The language became a big problem for me. I couldn't read and comprehend in most of my classes. In my previous school English was not taught, so I had no English textbooks. I tried to study hard for the first two years and I got 1.38 GPA for the first year and 1.65 GPA for my second year. I needed to get at least 2.5 GPA so that I can graduate from the high school, and I needed a high TOEFL and SAT at the same time so that I can go to a good university. I have a dream of starting my own company and with the university education I can gain the knowledge and skills of running my company. Running a successful company will help me get finances to sponsor other students from China to come and learn in the United States. So I must make some changes and take the challenges that can make me have better grades.
