The most inimitable place to be, a place I miss every single day, is Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. The rolling hills, the fresh air, the spaciousness, all outshine the city life. When I am there, the calm I experience in incomparable.
My family house resides in the country, amidst a stretch of green fields. My backyard was a horse field, and my friends and I would play on the hay bales, trying to see who can climb the highest. After returning from school and setting our backpacks aside, we would engage in carefree play until the yellowish, orange sun began to set. On several occasions, the golden rays of the sun would radiate through the clouds creating the perfect backdrop. Here, the population is overcrowded, which makes it impossible to enjoy pleasures like those in Pigeon Forge.
The snow falls fervently during the winter season. My yard was a giant slope that caused many of our visitors and friends to stumble on several occasions. School was often cancelled because of the many back roads and hills that would easily get black ice. My friends and I would be thrilled whenever school got cancelled because it was an opportunity for us to go sledding. I would get dressed in sweatpants, two pairs of socks, and protect my socks with waterproof boots. To top it off, I would wear an undershirt, a knitted sweater, and a heavy woolen jacket.
