Therefore, goal planning is the process of setting objectives developing strategies and outlining schedules and tasks to meet the set objectives. This paper uses examples to discuss the subject of goal planning by including its significance. Goal planning is important because it influences the outcomes of individuals. This owes to the reality that Fried and Slowik (2004) argue that the instrumentality, valence of results, and expectancy will be high after setting challenging goals. The outcomes of challenging goals are both internal and external.
