Moby Dick
Moby Dick is a narrative by Ishmael, a sailor, about Ahab's obsessive quest to revenge on the White Whale. Moby Dick is a huge white sperm whale, and its expedition bit off Ahab’s limb at the knee. The work is known as a excellent American Novel recognized in the 20th century after the centenary of its writer’s birth. Reading through chapters 64-109 of Moby Dick reveals various elements that can be adapted to present a critical analysis of the novel.
The Pequod is a sign of doom and a major literary device used in the novel. It is decorated a gloomy black and enclosed in whale teeth and bones, prickling with the reminders of fierce death. Moby Dick expresses different symbolic meanings to the characters. To the Pequod’s team, the Whale is an idea that can move the worries about their risky and often scary jobs. They have no misunderstandings about Moby Dick behaving wickedly toward males or literary exemplifying evil. Thus, the stories about the monster allow them to face their fear, achieve it and persistently function. Ahab trusts that Moby Dick is an appearance of all that is mistaken and assumes that it is his fate to eliminate the symbolic evil. The desire drives him to explore a wrong and dangerous path of revenge against the White Whale. The novel also entails interpretations not relevant to specific characters.
