Characterization of Hashtag Community as A Public Sphere
A public sphere is an environment or a conducive atmosphere where groups of people or individuals come together and enable effective and efficient communication on their different opinions. In a public sphere, society can be affianced in a critical public debate. The concept of the public sphere noted that the logic is independent of political and economic status. Habermas detailed the communal domain is not a range of party-political communiqué but a sphere unrestricted from state suppression and sequestered proprietorship. The public sphere or society joins culture, politics, and economics, creating a segment of intersection and the following; the organization and economic-political sphere and the cultural domain or sphere (Archer, 1995).
Additionally, the public sphere's primary purpose is to ensure that individuals communicate successfully in the online world. The public sphere and social media contribute to communication through the online world globally. The contribution made by (Garnham 1992) differs from the concepts about the public sphere from Habermas. It challenges the public sphere idealism.
