This course has given us an opportunity to learn the operation of companies in global markets, factors that influence their effectiveness at the global stage, international market entry strategies, as well as challenges that companies face and factors that they should consider when entering global markets. The course was particularly appealing to me because I have always wanted to know how such firms as Apple Inc. have made it to the global scene and established dominance over their competitors. I am also interested in pursuing entrepreneurship and my aim is to establish a global brand position it above the rest.
We learnt that there are various concerns that companies develop which hinder them from being efficient in the global market. The common concerns include stiff competition from established brands, cultural differences and perceptions towards a brand, political influence on businesses, and legal concerns such as laws and concerns.
