In recent times, an increase in immigration accounts for the ballooning demographic upsurge in the USA's school-going population. Recent research estimates 25 percent of American students from immigrant families and live in households where English is an added language. With the necessity to adequately address the needs of the diverse students that teachers are bound to encounter, it is only prudent that every teacher has immense knowledge and variant range of skills to tackle the unique needs of English Language Learners (ELLs). As a teacher, you ought to be well prepared to teach these students. Unfortunately, most classroom teachers possess little to zero training in methods most effective in handling English language learners (ELLs), Walker, Shafer, and Iiams (2004). Learning another language other than one's native language, is always a big challenge. To make work easy for my students, I would make every learning instruction visual. Giving instructions in the air without writing or making diagrammatical and pictorial presentations only worsens the situation since ELL students have difficulty understanding and processing spoken language. Therefore, however simple or complex, every education in my class would be either written on board, diagrammed, or represented in pictures. Involving practical procedures and showing their results to the students during learning go a long way in understanding and grasping ideas better. The non-linguistic representation of concepts in my class will improve my ELL students' teaching and the entire study.
