           In Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind (Kaze no Tani no Naushika), there is a focus on the beauty of the landscape in the Fukai jungle in the Japanese adventure, animation, and fantasy film.  The ohmu giant insects are the main living forms in Fukai where human civilization has largely been destroyed. Princess Nausicaä tries to find a way to protect the people from the toxic spores from Fukai, but in the process faces challenges, and also gets in conflict with people from other kingdoms (Miyazaki et al., 1984). Nausicaä uses the mehve to move around and the director, Hayao Miyazaki uses the animetic image of the glider swaying around the ohmu to show the intensity of the movement. When Nausicaä first encountered the ohmu in the first 10 minutes of the film, she rode the flying device. The princess is a flying hero capable of piloting the mehve well and killing the enemies and liberates the people as one of the most prominent warriors in the kingdom.   To create the flying sequence, Miyazaki first introduces the princess using the glider in the introduction of the film, and the engine assisted gliders shown to take off and accelerate upwards until the princess can look downwards while moving above ground.  Even as she glider’s speed increases and the princess is ascending the planes or layers are shown as though they defy gravity since the princess can accelerate fast.  In the glorious aerial sequence of flying scenes, Nausicaä gets closer to then ohmu by accelerating, but she remains unharme...
