Communication is one of the critical aspects of human interaction since it involves the exchange of ideas and key messages. While face to face communication is one of the modes of interactions, there are common barriers that can exchange information (TriduumlearningLabs, 2014). For instance, taboos and emotional obstacles can make it hard for some individuals to express their emotions. Equally, some topics such as religion, politics, racism, and sexuality can be off-limits for some individuals. If one of the parties lacks attention or interest in the subject of discussion, it can be a hindrance on the face to face communication. In other instances, prejudices and expectations can result in stereotypes and false assumptions, especially if the receiving party make wrong conclusions.
