One of the concepts that I have learned so far is using other people as mere means in different situations. Kant argues that in different situations, we do use other people but we should not use them as a mere means since it appears to be a form of deceptionCITATION Ono \p 412 \l 1033 (Onora, p. 412). Different human beings have their own consent or what has been defined as maxims and as a way of treating each other with respect, we need to make sure that we have respected the maxims that are held by different people. Kant also argues that consent precluded deception and coercion.
