Writing Comparison
           Every writer should know how our internal and external circumstances affect our writing process. This would help us know how to either use these factors to improve our results or avoid things that may reduce our ability to produce good results. In line with this, I would like to discuss how writing is affected by the external circumstances surrounding the author’s life. Mainly, I would focus on the direct and indirect effects of the economy on the writings of individuals, whether or not they realize it. In the succeeding sections of this article, I will discuss this environment-experience junction, which we can use to our advantage to create an excellent literary piece. 
The Economy and the Writing Experience
           The economy affects an individual’s writing ability and experience because writing, on its own, is a commodity. It is not a secret that one of the primary driving forces for almost writing endeavors is money. In fact, most authors these days do not spend their days writing just because they love it or they are too passionate about it. Instead, they are writing with the hopes that their piece will sell and give them the ability to live a wealthy life. In Wardle’s article, she noted that “writing is always in particular.” In describing this idea, Wardle highlighted that every piece written by an author differs from another because of the variations in the internal and external environments at the time of writing. Accordingly, this is also the reason why changes in the economy affect an author’s output. Notably, as we know from Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs, writing can only become a kind of self-actualization or self-realization when it is done not for subsistence or a piece of commodity entirely. Similarly, the economy affects the individual’s capacity to write depending on whether he is writing to have something to eat or for self-actualization. 
           Aside from affecting one’s output and ability to write, I believe that writing is also affected by the economy since a better economy also creates more learning opportunities.
