Data collection methods can include quantitative, qualitative, and mixed research methods. Quantitative methods comprise of methods that rely predominantly on the collection of quantitative data using quantitative methodologies. On the other hand, qualitative research methods are focused more on the examination of current literature and research on the subject matter (Kothari, 2004). In this way, qualitative data is more focused on analysis of research as compared to qualitative methods that are focused on the analysis of data collected through empirical methods. Mixed research comprises of a combination of qualitative and quantitative methodologies to provide a comprehensive analysis of data (Kothari, 2004).
