The author of this study reflects on ways through which climatic changes would constitute a threat to the peace and stability of a nation. The author argues that climatic changes exert indirect and conditional effects on conflict risks, thus increasing security gaps between different societies with the aim of coping with the changes. For this reason, the need for peace building remains a resilient and effective approach to addressing climate change in unstable economies.
