In the essay “Mother Tongue,” written by Amy Tan, she reveals how she started writing stories by using the language which she was conversant with. This is an illustration that even those who are not eloquent in speaking can still express themselves through writing. In other words, inability to speak eloquently or fluently should not deter one in expressing himself or herself including black and white.
