Alfred Kinsey was an influential individual in America’s intellectual history. He is renowned for making it public that women reach their sexual peak in their mid-30ss, men masturbate, and that homosexuality is a common thing. He was not just a mere observer of the country’s sexual habits (Crain). His sexual perversion was a significant fact that revealed some of the shocking attributes of the American population, even though some of his views were also controversial.
Even though Kinsey is often regarded as a liberator, many people consider him to be a fraud since his “junk science legitimized degeneracy” (Crain). His perversion has resulted in accusations that he should be convicted of sexual crimes. He is often blamed for the gay movement and also making sex-offender laws looser while glamorizing pornography. He admitted that he conducted research on various kinds of sexual activities, misrepresented unmarried individual as married and even included prostitutes and incarcerated sex criminal’s data. These attributes made him a sex criminal and also a pervert.
Kinsey was a pervert based on the type of participants he included in his studies. For example, he provided data about the sexual behaviors of children, and questions arose as to how he obtained the data and if he was involved in exploiting young people. The study was focused on determining the age of orgasms for boys aged between 2 months and 15 years, and it was revealed that the data as obtained from Rex King, a pedophile (Crain).
