Many alcoholic parents believe that their drinking habits do not affect other people. However, that does not seem to be the case. Their behaviors affect others and children of such parents tend to be the most susceptible. Encounter difficulties in close relationships
Children raised by alcoholic parents have trust issues and slack self-esteem hence find it had to rely on somebody else. They can choose to battle being in intimate relationships than get close to other people.
Terrified of abandonment
Many alcoholic parents are often not around when their children need them. As a result, these children develop fear of being left alone. They hence cling on relationships which should have ended since they do not want to be alone.
