A news article by Aljazeera (2020) provides details about two rocket attacks on airports in the Ethiopian Amhara state. The attacks were carried out on November 20, 2020, with one of the rockets partially damaging the Gondar Airport. The other rocket hit just outside the Bahir Dar Airport (Aljazeera, 2020). The attack at Gondar Airport resulted in the death of two military personnel, while up to 15 others were injured. The region’s military forces have been trying to contain the Tigray fighters and the two attacks were retaliatory efforts by the group.
