Cigarette smoking is a health decelerating behavior that has ravaged the world and will continue to do so if efforts are not made to carb the evergrowing number (Alashoor & Han, 2020). Understanding such dangers it may have on an individual's health as a healthcare professional, it was my obligation to educate a frequent patient who has been visiting my health facility. The patient has been using the substance for years. The patient has smoked with the spouse for years, but all efforts to eradicate the behavior have proven futile. On the other hand, the spouse has been continuously smoking with no sign of stopping, all actions proving fruitless because the partner still smokes.
The patient's success in stopping smoking depends on the other partner's support throughout the journey. The challenge of the message delivery is to convince the patient to be accompanied by the spouse for the education program to stop cigarette usage.
