Water crisis in China
Introduction
Although Chinese represent almost 20% of the world’s population, their country, China, contains only 7% of the earth’s fresh water. This leaves China with less annual fresh water available per capita than other developed countries. In recent times, the growing population and rapid industrialization coupled with inadequate investment in water supply and infrastructure has worsened the situation, especially in Northern China. This paper aims at describing China’s water crisis and identifying regions that experience drought.
Water condition
Currently, China is in the later stages of autumn, which is warm due to comfortable temperatures. However, the water situation has not changed and the fear of experiencing water crisis has become a reality than ever.
