Energy Activation involves bringing active molecules into reactive state through activation energy. Streptomyces spp produces antibiotics and pharmacologically active compounds, and it is possible to study resistance to streptomycin because of gene mutation. Through activation energy there is disruption of stable electron configuration underlining the importance of activation energy in enzymatic reactions and there is stimulation of genetic transcription of genes (Wright & Hastie, 2007). Enhancement is the process of improving functional capacities of genetics in the transcription process. Acceleration is the process of increasing gene production in DNA transcription (Sehgal et al, 2003).
Lipopolysaccharide consists of lipids (fats) and polysaccharides, found in the cell walls of Gram negative bacteria. Lipopolysaccharides mainly help in stabilization of the overall membrane structure and protection from chemical attack. Liu et al (2006) carried out a study that showed that there is transcriptional activation of lipids induced IL-10 through MAPKand NF-kB pathways.
Mycolic acid is a fatty acid found in mycobacterial including the causative agent of tuberculosis. Mycolic acids in different mycobacterial species differ depending on their chemical group and position in their meromycolic chain. Presence of fatty acids is one of the main reasons why tuberculosis cells are largely impermeable, and the modification of Mycolic acid in the causative agent of tuberculosis may occur because the lipid structure influence immune activation according to study performed by Barkan et al., (2012).
Mycobacterium tuberculosis in TB cells is a pathogen that is infectious and able to resist immunity among people with normal immune system, but HIV patients are highly susceptible to tuberculosis. IFN gamma is an activator that has the potential to control tuberculosis infection, but because it does not stimulate macrophages it does not affect tuberculosis. A study carried out by (Kincaid, 2003) as quoted by (Tuberculosis Week, 2003) found out that transcription does not occur normally even when there is normal activation because the process is gene selective.
