Servant leadership style aims to improve performance and encourage leadership development throughout the company and hence benefiting both the company and employees. 7-Eleven applies servant leadership to serve others based on the need or desire to do so to help their employees develop professionally. 7-Eleven is known for its corporate culture of servant leadership and claims to be “build to serve.” Their leadership philosophy is shared in the mission statement and marketing material that to grow and succeed the priority must be the need of others. Their tag line is “Serve. Lead. Do what is right” (7-Eleven Corporate, 2019). Their service-oriented culture recognizes the value of accountability, recognition, and teamwork.
