Article 1
Introduction
The Nikes Sports Research Lab (NSRL) is where scientists, engineers, and designers meet to carry out research on the development of Nikes innovative sports gears that centrally focus on the improving performances, biomechanics, and physiology.
The scientists and engineers including the designers work together as a team to develop State-of –the-art sports equipments through a collection of data, analysis and insights that provide a foundation for the company’s innovative products (Nike Inc, 2013). This team developed two products that this study seeks to review. The products include the sports bras and the swimming goggles.
Methods
Research has established that women in the sports sector are today experiencing breast injuries as a result of the movement of tissues in an up and down motion during workouts. To determine the validity of these allegations, experiments were carried out to specifically underline the reasons for this choice of study. A team of 20 women were considered for the study with their ages ranging from 20-30 years.
The women were divided into two groups with those who had experienced breast injuries on one side and those who hadn’t on the other side. Data was then collected from these women to discover how they felt during workouts in and without bras. This study was carried out across several regions to understand these concepts.
Results
It was ascertained from the study that most of the women had a feeling of discomfort while undergoing workouts without bras. The up-down movements of the boobs were uncomfortable, a factor that validates the findings that this is the primary cause of breast injuries.
Conclusions
It is consequently essential to remark that the lack of breast support may lead to pain and discomfort, a factor that would damage the tissues that result in the sagging on the breasts or the development of stretch marks. It is significant that sports personalities develop a positive attitude towards using these sports utilities to avoid the permanent damages that may accrue as a result of avoidance.
Recommendations
There is need to therefore encourage sports women to develop a positive attitude towards the use of bras during sports activities. This is an important aspect that sh...
