Unsolved Murder of Christopher Wallace and Tupac
Christopher George Wallace, AKA the Notorious Big, was a popular Hip-hop artist in the United States. His murder occurred in the early hours of the 7th day of March 1997. It was believed that he was shot four times during a drive-in shooting that took place in Los Angeles, California. He was only 24 years old by the time of his death. Tupac, on the other hand, is believed to have died six months before Biggie. He was shot dead on 7th September 1996 in Las Vegas. Tupac and biggie were both killed by shooting in the street during the time of their death (Apple, 2013). Little is known about the reason for their deaths and who was responsible despite huge similarities in the manner in which their shootings took place. Biggie’s mother and family tried to seek justice by even filing a lawsuit against the City of Los Angeles for failing to cooperate to arrest his son's murderers.
More than two decades later, no information has been unearthed, and the killers have not yet been brought to books. This led to creating a television show dubbed, U.S.A.'s unsolved; The murder of Notorious Big and Tupac. It is ten segments and limited series inspired by Greg Kading's book, Murder Rap: The untold story of the Biggie Small & Tupac Shakur murder investigations, which had theories about who pulled the trigger and why. There is also a documentary to supplement the information provided by the theories.
The show blends three lines of stories that include the friendship between the two, the original investigations on the murder of Biggie, and also the task force that was spearheaded by Mr Kading a century after they died.
