Most laws and policies are introduced and adopted in the community to keep it safe, disciplined, and healthy. However, some laws and policies are well-intentioned but usually lead to unjust and absurd outcomes. One very good example is the school discipline policies. Some discipline policies cause the students more harm than good (Rafa, 2019). For instance, suspension or expulsion is usually intended to punish minor and vague infractions such as failing in tests or skipping tests with good reason. Suspending or expelling the student does not help to solve the problem. Students who experience such issues need corrective guidance and understanding and are not removed from the learning environment (Crosby et al., 2018).
