A group of concerned and vocal parents in Miami are demanding that that patrols be substantially increased around public schools.
Concomitantly, parents of public school students are complaining of "class bias" should you take police officers and/or patrol away from their schools.

Kansas City Preventative Patrol Experiment
The experiment started in October 1972, all the way up to 1973. The experiment was carried out by the Kansas City Police Department and evaluated by the Police Foundation. The experiment tried to find out whether the people’s fear of crime and behavior would change following the increment of patrol levels. It also investigated whether the level of crime would decrease by engaging different levels of visible police patrol. The experiment also tried to find out whether the citizens will be satisfied as a result of police patrol and policy changes (Mazerrole et al., 2014). Finally, the experiment was also aimed at testing whether the people would notice changes in police patrol level in Kansas City.
After the experiment was carried out, the results were as follows; the level of crime did not reduce even with differing police patrols. The people’s fear of crime and behavior did not change even with the different levels of police patrol. They were also not satisfied with the security given by the police officers (Tung, 2019). The people did not notice any changes even with the changes in the level of the patrol. Therefore, it would be correct to conclude and say that the Kansas City preventative patrol experiment ascertained that the usual or traditional police patrols do not affect the degree or extent of crime any much. It was also found out that preventative patrol does not affect people’s feelings of security.
It was also evident in the experiment that public safety could not be endangered by the urban police departments manipulating patrol resources and testing the patrol deployment strategies.
