Several developments have emerged related to improving the effectiveness of criminal justice, emphasizing the police departments. Application of the emerging results will aid the police to be able to capture criminals who were not easy to catch despite deploying resources. However, the emerging developments will cover the areas of community-oriented policing, the use of the camera in policing, cybercrime investigation, and technology used in all components of criminal justice.
Some of the emerging developments in community-oriented policing include predictive policing and Intelligence-led policing. Predictive policing is a practice where one relies on data by analyzing, anticipating, and preventing a future crime. Intelligence-led policing is another effective strategy that will aid in effective policing practices. It combines crime intelligence and data analysis to reduce crime-related issues.
