Corporate espionage offenders are individuals who engage in white-collar crimes for financial gains. Insider offenders are people who work in an organization, while outsiders are those not associated with the corporation. The similarities between outsider and insider corporate espionage offenders are that they have a common objective, which is accessing a firm’s information for destructive purposes. Those who are in managerial positions pose a significant danger to an organization since they can access more information and have technical skills. Insider and outsider offenders use data packet sniffing tools to acquire an organization’s information (Ja, 2015). The primary difference between insider and outsider offenders is that the former have more privileges of accessing the information they want since they know authentication details and the security protocol of a firm. Outsider offenders are more destructive than insider cybercriminals since they have no fear of being suspected and identified.
