Advantages and Drawbacks of VPNS
Despite the fact that VPNS are more popular in the contemporary world today than initial times, there are a number of people who are still ignorant of the significance of VPNS. The technology is critical for organizations in scalability and thus reduction of costs. However, the security could have some significant challenge should it not be addressed to meet confidentiality, integrity and availability of data.
VPN Network Scalability
It may be reasonable for an organization to build a dedicated private network when the firm only has two close branches. However, as the organization expands branches to other regions and countries, the need to advance operations and private networks might be expansive hence the use of VPNS. Mitchel (2019) posit that in scalability, VPNs are critical since it helps to reduce costs and easy of operations.
