The republic of china created a Chinese communist party in 1949, which was officially made of atheist. However, way before this, religious personalities under diverse religious beliefs such as the Mongols (Tartara), Buddhists (Cathayans or Idolators), Christians and Muslims (Saracens) contributed to Chinese history through their rulership. For instance, in the year 1256, a Tartarian named Kubilai Khan came to the throne with another one being chief. “There was a great Mongol Chief, whose name was Nayan, a young man [of thirty], Lord over many lands and many provinces” [Polo, The History of the World, 2). The two rulers fought but out of it came a unifying aspect of the religious groups through Khan’s firm stand on Nayan’s cross and Lord that led to Saracens, Jews and Idolaters to mock Nayan’s God. In this case, the minority groups and religious groups like the Mongols created part of Beijing’s history through their rulership. In addition, the diverse religious groups harmoniously lived together. “For three months of the year, December, January, and February, the Great Khan resides in the capital of Cathy, which is called CAMBALUC,” [Polo, The History of the World, 7]. CAMBALUC was the city of the Emperor with astrologers across the region. Moreover, the persons serving below the Emperor and creating the Beijing history were from different religious set-ups. For instance, the Saracen named ACHMATH.
