Introduction
Abolitionists fought for the freedom of slavery in America, and they formed movements that help them present their agenda to the public and the government. However, the process of acquiring freedom was not a walk in the park; for example, the gag rule, which was introduced in the house of representatives, barred the progress of these movements. From New England to Philadelphia, the voice of freedom was heard, the hard work and commitment bore fruits especially when the anti-slavery act was established. The abolitionist movement delivered their sentiments in Philadelphia (McNeese, 2017).

As more slaves were brought to England to facilitate the building of the mills, the demand increased in other parts of America hence consumerism. 1833 convention pushed for the freedom of people and called for equity to the oppressed. These sentiments reflected the pain and afflictions that slaves went through; for example, it states that the law recognizes only a few people, whereas others are mistreated and denied their human rights (Stewart, 2008). The consistency and persistence to revolutionize the transport system is a perfect example to show abolitionists were reformers. Additionally, the fight to increase wages for workers (labor movements) reflects the industries' thirst for equity and recognition. Notably, from these movements, the world realized industrialization; hence abolitionists were responsible reformers (OpenStax, 2019).
