           The decline of Byzantine art can be traced between 306 CE and the 14th century. The period is marked by a progressive departure from its forms and a final departure by artists like Duccio and Sandro Botticelli. They grapple with the integration of the Greco-Roman approach and the byzantine rendition of space and depth. Duccio is deeply involved in this controversy from his two arts, Annunciation of the Birth of Christ and Annunciation of Death of Virgin. Byzantine art emerged from Christian and classical Greek mythology, where artists were dissatisfied with the play of forms and stimulated by intrinsic rationalism to associated life with meaningful content. The art form, however, began to lose its perfection during the days of Constantine. He reigned between 306 and 337 CE when Artists began to use Mable and spoils from other places to create art which diluted the authenticity of Byzantine designs. In the 14th century, Duccio struggled with the Byzantine art rendition that is no longer fit for purpose when portraying actions occurring in real-time within spaces.
