Andrew Newell Wyeth was an American artist who hailed from Chadds Ford in Pennsylvania. Born in 1917, he is considered to be one of the greatest artists that America has ever had. He was primarily a realist painter. In most of the paintings that he did, he would concentrate on the people and the land around him. Much of his works were quite realistic in the fact that, he was able to reproduce the subjects in the painting with a realistic appeal. On the other hand, Jean Baptiste Camille Corot was a French painter born in the year 1796. He was much older than Andrew as is evident from when they were both born. He can largely be associated with the romanticism movement as they rejected order in the society in favor of expressive arts. Of importance in their age gap however is with reference the styles that they used. With Jean, using more impressionism than realism. He lived at a time when impressionism was starting to gain popularity which would explain the vibrant colors and lighting effects that appeal to the emotions of the viewers. The two were from different movements and this is evident of the styles that the used.

As mentioned above, Andrew largely employed the realism style in most of paintings giving the audience rather realistic images. Relative to his style, Andrew belonged to the American Regionalism movement. This was a movement that concentrated on making murals, lithographs, paintings and illustrations that depicted realistic scenes, that were associated with the rural areas and small towns.
