King Phillip and Alexander the Great exhibited various strengths and weaknesses in leadership. Although the kings impacted the growth and development of their kingdoms positively, they failed in some aspects of leadership and handling some issues. However, the weaknesses don not overdue the strengths and both leaders portrayed excellent qualities of a good leader in the throne. While King Phillip and Alexander the Great possessed excellent skills and strengths, they also deviated to wrong paths, leading to the origin of some weaknesses.
Both leaders had the outgoing character of vision during their reigning period. This quality enabled the individuals to conquer various things and achieve the best outcomes in all activities carried out for the purpose of growth in their respective regions. Alexander never thought of doing things or handling the various issues arising in his leadership sequence in a small scale (Kannan, 2019). He would always try to give everything in action the best effort to enhance achievement of excellent results. The high respect held for the great strength of the forces and the military in the country revealed the greatness of the man in working towards unification of the ancient Greek and achievement of the kingdoms’ goals. King Phillip had a heavy sense of duty in all the activities towards the greatness of Spain (The Economist Newspaper Limited, 2019). The king laid a major focus in defending the Catholic Church against Protestantism and Islam. Phillip believed that he could always all his anticipated dreams and objectives. The two leaders portrayed escalated levels of the vision to achieve laid strategies for the dominance of their territories.
The two leaders were courageous in all their undertakings as young boys and also as grown rulers. Alexander revealed immense courage by taming a horse at the age of 10years (Morrison, 2019). In most cases, this duty is left for adults in various communities and not young boys. This action proves that he had an excellent quality characteristic of a good leader. Being a strong leader would demand thinking and taking multiple risks to ensure continuous progress towards the growth of the empire. The people around the young prince knew that he had all it took for someone to becoming a great king and leading in the right way. At this instant of great action, Alexander had strongly believed that he could become great and lead people to more achievements and conquering.
