Using Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

Essay Instructions:

While the implementation plan prepares students to apply their research to the problem or issue they have identified for their capstone project change proposal, the literature review enables students to map out and move into the active planning and development stages of the project.
A literature review analyzes how current research supports the PICOT, as well as identifies what is known and what is not known in the evidence. Students will use the information from the earlier PICOT Question Paper and Literature Evaluation Table assignments to develop a 750-1,000 word review that includes the following sections:
Title page
Introduction section
A comparison of research questions
A comparison of sample populations
A comparison of the limitations of the study
A conclusion section, incorporating recommendations for further research
I will include the literature eval table and the Picot question paper for reference.

The case for personal protective equipment (PPE) has been prominent in healthcare circles although there is a widespread acknowledgment that this aspect has been under-utilized. Proper use of PPEs is critical considering the gravity of the situation in handling increased cases of infections in hospitals. The goal of healthcare practitioners is to improve quality health outcomes while preventing disease transmission in hospital settings. PPEs alleviate possibilities in the transfer of pathogens between patients and healthcare practitioners (Brown, 2019). Peer-reviewed articles broaden the scope of knowledge that is available to stakeholders. Each article differs from the other concerning research questions, sample populations, limitations, and eventually, these differences mean that recommendations for further research need to be articulated well.
The research questions vary with the researchers’ intent. For instance, Balkhyour, Ahmad, and Rehan (2019) assess the impact of PPE as an intervention in healthcare settings (Balkhyour, Ahmad, & Rehan, 2019). Even then, there is a chance to extend this research to comprehend the actual impact of PPE during a pandemic such as SARS as well as its application in protecting people from hazardous exposure to harmful substances (Hersi et al., 2015; Garrigou et al., 2020). On the other hand, there is the need to analyze the role of human factors and ergonomics in facilitating the design, adaption, and reconfiguration of healthcare systems to fit the prevailing health situation (Gurses et al., 2020). Haque, Sartelli, McKimm, and Bakar (2018) take a different path as they seek to determine the influence educational programs to nurses can have on reducing the transmission of healthcare-associated infections (HCAIs). Onwards, some researchers have sought to relay the experience of being amidst very dangerous HCAIs such as the current pandemic of coronavirus disease, 2019 (COVID-19). The greatest strength of this study is that it is based in Wuhan Province, where the virus originated (Liu et al., 2020). Ultimately, it is important to determine the protocols that healthcare institutions can institute to protect their frontline workforce from contracting COVID-19 (Huand, Lin, Tang, Yu, & Zhou, 2020). To this end, the differing objectives of each research article imply that they will have different research questions.
Various sample population sizes and methodologies have been in different studies. Employees from small-scale industries have asserted their contributions because their environment is comprised of hazardous products such as direct sunlight, vapors or fumes, dust or smoke, and noise. 102 employees are a significant number to provide considerable evidence towards the cause (Balkhyour et al, 2019). Besides, the nurses in Wuhan who have treated 35 positive COVID-19 cases as well as approximately 260 suspected ones offer a unique experience considering that many are filled with panic and fear (Huang et al., 2020). Besides, the qualitative studies have made major efforts to include as much credible information as possible. Institutions such as the Anses-Europ...
