Individuals leave the nursing profession for different reasons, such as moving places. Essentially, re-entering the nursing career as an international present more challenges for an individual. Nursing training and practice are significantly reliant on society and the environment. As an international student, the major challenge I faced in re-entering the nursing profession was the differences in nursing technology.
The changes in technology evolve rapidly, especially in first-world countries. These changes in technology gear the use of new clinical standards and motivate new patient demands (Nursing Leadership in a changing world, 2005). Notably, the technology level in my former country is not up to par with the current one.
