An Analysis of a Theoretical Framework for Leadership
The assignment aims at evaluating a theoretical framework that one could apply in leadership. The study covers the analysis of the book Leadership and Organization: A Behavioral Science Approach by Robert Tannenbaum, Irving Weschler and Fred Massarik. Leadership is a fundamental aspect in all institutions. Proper leadership skills aligned with other key aspects such as proper managerial skills contribute immensely to an institution’s success. Several leaders apply different leadership skills that fit well in organizations to ensure the organizations run well and effectively. He played the leadership position from 1947 to 1956, almost a decade in the leadership position (Tannenbaum et al., 2015). One of the primary qualities I would emulate was encouraging and unifying his employees to always better their production and increase their earnings through the Company’s success. A shortcoming I would overcome is that I would educate my employees on never letting their personal interests override the interests of the entire institution. Another trait is being an element of unity in an organization (Bolden, 2011). Leaders ought to influence their works to be together and co-exist peacefully under unity. Good leaders also need to be a source of motivation to other workers and other people in the organization. For a good leader, one ought to encourage teamwork and set higher standards and goals for the other members to achi...
