Technological Advancements in the Field of Medicine

the assignment is to respond to one of my class mat on the discussion he made. I have to state that i agree and that i support what he said, eg: i agree with you that technology is ect..ect.. based on what he said and i have to support my digitalise with one source.

this is the discussion i am answering to:
"Technology is constantly changing, and its use in healthcare will continuously increase in the coming years (McGonigle & Mastrian, 2015). In my previous place of employment, my use of technology was limited to a bladder scan, and a handheld device. If you've never heard of a handheld device, it is exactly as it sounds, i.e., a technological device that is mobile and can be used at the patient's bedside. Its advantage is the combination of a computer and patient chart in a handheld device, which is portable and wireless (Prgomet, Georgiou, & Westbrook, 2009).
The bladder scan was beneficial because it was very user-friendly with results readily available within seconds. The handheld device was a bit more challenging with room for serious improvement. For example, it timed out constantly, it was difficult to move from one screen to the next (i.e., moving from the patient information screen to the vital signs screen), and sometimes, it would not save the vital signs that I entered.
In the future, I would love to see this handheld device used to scan the body so that it can figure out many things going on with the body in one scan (very much like the tricorder technology used in Star Trek). For example, after the patient's identification is confirmed, one can press a button on the handheld device, which starts the scanning technology. The handheld device is held over the head, and slowly waved towards the feet. Within a few seconds, the handheld device will tell the healthcare professional exactly what is going on with the body. Also, it will be able to tell the level of pain, which can be confirmed by the patient, to the level of consciousness (i.e. risk for falls). All of this takes into consideration the patient's level of care and safety."
