Effective Leadership
Effective leadership plays a pivotal role in enhancing performance in any given organization. This is because leadership involves the influencing of activities within a group toward achieving stipulated objectives (Watson & Johnson, 2022). It is worth noting that leadership cannot be termed as efficient if the organization does not achieve the common objectives of all the members. More often than not, effective leadership is influenced by organizational culture (Bhardwaj, 2022). As such, healthcare organizations need to embrace a culture that will enable their leaders to lead effectively and scale up performance. 
One of the ways in which effective leadership helps improve performance in health care is that it motivates health workers to be more diligent. As a direct consequence, morbidity and mortality rates decrease significantly (Al-Habib, 2020). In addition, effective leadership enhances fiscal performance through an increase in the income generated by each bed. Effective leadership also cultivates and nurtures an environment where the engagement of all health workers is considerably improved. This makes the workers feel valued and an integral part of the healthcare system, which inspires them to work with dedication. From the same perspective, when clinicians become more engaged in service renewal and change, their output increases (Al-Habib, 2020). In connection to this, engagement cannot flourish in an environment devoid of an effective communication system. As such, healthcare leaders must adopt an approach where all stakeholders are heard and considered. Effective communication also promotes the safety of patients (Watson & Johnson, 2022). Last but not least, leaders must promote the culture of teamwork in health organizations which helps in the coordination of tasks. This ultimately eases the solving of problems, therefore improving performance. Teamwork also promotes diversity and inclusivity, which is critical in the accomplishment of tasks.
Regulatory Professionals
In national health planning, regulation refers to how a government makes its health policy preferences effective (Clarke, 2016). In this regard, regulatory professionals play a crucial role in implementing mechanisms that translate health policy objectives into action. An effective regulatory professional must have a good grasp of the regulatory acts and regulations. Further, they must clearly understand the purpose of regulations (Yocher, 2019). Regulatory professionals should be good leaders to make it easy for them to influence their followers. This can be achieved by nurturing teamwork within their teams and networks.
