Stroke is a medical condition that occurs when the supply of blood to part of your brain is cut or significantly reduced. It prevents some tissues in your mind from getting oxygen causing brain cells to die. There three primary types of stroke, which include ischemic stroke, hemorrhagic stroke, transient ischemic attack. There is no specific cause of the stroke. Still, mostly it is linked to our lifestyle issues, for instance, obesity, age, illicit use of drugs, excessive consumption of alcohol, and many others. You might also at considerable risk if you have a family history of stroke.
There are different treatments for different types of strokes. For ischemic stroke, the main symptom they try to cure is a blood clot, so they use therapy and drugs. For hemorrhagic stroke, the main symptom is the bleeding in your brain, so to stop it, medication and surgery are the primary treatment, and finally, for the transient ischemic attack, their main goal is to prevent blood clots. Hence, their primary method of treatment is medication and therapy.
Stroke can have a significant effect on the patient’s body. These effects include blurred vision, paralysis, loss of speech, or struggling with it, the ability to reason or organize things, memory problems, and the ability to read, write, and learn. Stroke doesn't only affect the patient's physique but also their emotions. A stroke patient might suffer from depression, irritability, forgetfulness, and confusion. These emotions come from the significant change the patient is experiencing and their body. The good news is that you can get it under control by having therapy and support from your family.
