Nurses play a central role in the provision of healthcare services and continue to shape the direction in which healthcare moves (Iglehart, 2013). Similar to nurses, veterans play a vital role in defending the country and significantly influence how Americans live and how American policy moves. As such, it is only right that the sacrifices made by veterans are fully appreciated. As an NP, I strongly feel that veterans should be able to receive therapy from the comfort of their homes surrounded by their loved ones at all times. This is especially the case for therapy that does not require specialized equipment.
In order to provide this service, I plan on contacting the VA hospital and seeking to offer my services of home therapy for veterans in a voluntary capacity. By finding veterans willing to have home therapy and obtaining permission from the facility and physicians of said veterans, I can ...
