Role of Group Exercise Instructor
A group instructor is responsible for ensuring a conducive environment for the group members to exercise and become fit. One of the most important roles that the instructor is expected to perform is to ensure the safety of the group members (Gallo, 2020). There is no essence in pursuing exercise and fitness in an environment that poses a risk to the members. Therefore, the instructor must put in necessary measures to ensure that the exercise environment is as safe as possible. The second primary role of the group instructor is to create a positive experience for each of the participants. While the members may be a group, the experience must be customized to meet the unique needs of each member. Another role of the instructor is to assist the group members in forming realistic goals and walk with them through the journey of achieving those goals.
